For Janel Funk Nutrition and Wellness, a nutrition counseling practice in the greater Boston area, I collaborated closely with Janel Funk to craft a full branding system and custom Squarespace website that truly represented her aesthetic and professional approach. The result was a cohesive and polished brand that positioned her business as established and trustworthy while retaining the warmth and simplicity she wanted to convey.
The logo was entirely custom, created in a circular seal format featuring Janel’s initials, J and F, in a flowing script font. The design reflected her desire for a clean and simple black-and-white style while maintaining elegance. The color palette of pastel blues, greens, and pinks was applied as background elements on the website, adding softness and approachability. Janel utilized the moodboard I designed to guide her brand photographer in capturing professional headshots and styled images, completing the website's visual story.
A comprehensive brand guidelines document was provided to ensure consistency across all future branding efforts, allowing Janel to refer back to the fonts, colors, and visual elements with ease.
The new Squarespace website featured a custom layout and design tailored to Janel’s brand, elevating her online presence from her previous self-built Wix site. Key features included a user-friendly navigation system and visually cohesive sections to highlight her services and expertise, presenting her practice as professional and established while maintaining a welcoming feel.
